Metacognition and the Future of Learning

“If a prisoner is happy and content, is that man free?”

It’s a question you might probably expect to hear in undergrad philosophy classes. But the question was actually posed to a group of six-year-olds.

Metacognition, briefly put, is thinking about thinking.

“Before, I never used to think. I used to be ooh shallow guy. But philosophy taught me to ask questions.

To reframe the question asked at the beginning, if we can’t make sense of our own learning, are we still learning?

The school used juggling and color coding so that kids understand their learning.
